On Saturday, October 20, 2018, Habitat for Humanity of Kenosha will host its 3rd annual 5K Run/Walk fundraiser. The event will be held at Petrifying Springs Park, Area 3, and is open to all levels of runners, as well as walkers. Race participation includes an event t-shirt and refreshments. The course runs through the forest, during peak fall foliage and will be professionally timed.
Registration begins at 8:00am, and the run/walk kicks off at 9:00am. Doctors of Physical Therapy will have a DPT Sports Med Station, offering taping (KT taping), stretching, first aid and consultations. Harbor Park CrossFit will also run a group stretch and warm-up prior to the start of the run/walk.
UW-Parkside has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Kenosha, allowing Parkside students to gain hands-on event planning experience to help benefit this worthy cause.
Tickets can be bought at habitatkenosha.org/product/5k-run-walk. Adult tickets are $25, children 6-16 are $15, and children 5 and under are free.
Habitat for Humanity of Kenosha is still seeking sponsorships and donations for the event and can be contacted at 262.925.0360 or email@example.com.
